Here is my 'index', in which I started off simple in HTML and CSS by creating a simple page detailing little details about myself as well as a link at the end.
IndexHere is my 'calvino' task, where I recieved a worksheet full of text from Italo Calvino's Invisible Cities, in which I had to create a page with its details in the HTML in the form of a list, with links being able to take the viewer to any of the five paragraphs from the top of the page, with a link at the bottom able to take you back to the top. This is where I first implemented variable CSS tags, which enhanced the look in all sorts of ways.
CalvinoHere are my 'playground' tasks, with the first one detailing instructions on how to play around with the aspects of different shapes in HTML and CSS, where I utilised a square, and turned it into a circle using the border-radius feature, and moved them around in all kinds of places as well as experimenting with different colours.
Play WorkHere are my 'peatcutter's' tasks, where, similar to the 'calvino' tasks, I was instructed to take a large amount of text from a worksheet and implement it into my files with varied HTML and CSS. Here, however, I had to make links that took the viewer to two other pages with further information supplied on the worksheet. My other task given to me was to take what I had made and to create a structured layout, which was definitely a difficult task for me.
About Us Our Rates How To Find UsFor the first of the 'peatcutter's' layout tasks, it involved taking secondary content of the HTML and spacing it towards the right, while also encasing it in a box.
About Us 2 Our Rates 2 How To Find Us 2For the second of the 'peatcutter's' layout tasks, I had to do what is pretty similar to the first layout task, but not only create secondary content that was spaced to the right, but also make another piece of content and space it to the left. I found this task extremely difficult as I just couldn't get both pieces of content to be in place without messing up the main content, being the main body of text.
About Us 3 Our Rates 3 How To Find Us 3My final workshop task was to experiment with different ways of making sure that when resizing a tab, the view isn't corrupted for users using other devices such as a mobile phone. This was under the 'fluid' task, and was quite easy, and there were three different methods but I chose to represent the second one.
FluidFinally, here is my website redesign, in which I selected 15th Airedale Scouts due to how I found many faults such as missing information, typos, and a bland colour palette to be largely noticable, with the upside being good navigation. I created a site that is simple, not bland to the eye in terms of colour, and having neater spacing.
